8th June 2019 – We hold a very special exhibition day, featuring top GB professional Marcus Willis (who memorably played Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2016).
Moss treatment and court cleaning works are completed on 6th December.

The worldwide coronavirus epidemic affects many tennis activities (and much else). Group coaching, the AGM, Quiz Night, the first American tournament and all summer league matches are cancelled. The IFCA Community Centre closes its doors for now. In June, restricted social play and coaching resumes, with a court booking system and social distancing and other procedures in operation.
Works are carried out to lay paving slabs in the area to the front of the clubhouse, realign the pathway and carry out some returfing, to try and alleviate the muddiness that occurs in wet weather.
Head Coach Nick Hilder announces his departure from the club after 5 years of much achievement. Josh Ratnage will now be leading on the coaching front.
The 14th annual “pink” American tournament took place on 11th October – the only American we were able to hold in 2020. An excellent attendance with 27 players plus spectators. It was good to have some participants from other local clubs (Mountnessing & Hamptons). The money raised was our highest total ever at well over £250. Charlotte Jefferies was the pinkest person. The sweepstake games were won by Emma Jefferson and Kathryn Field. The winner of most games on the day was Eva Delgado-Pelroa.
Lockdown returns - courts were closed from 5th November, but re-opened from 2nd December, but closed again in January 2021.
We reopen on 29th March. Easter coaching camps are being organised. Tuesday mini-tennis to resume.
Courts 1 & 2 were resurfaced with artificial "tiger turf" in mid-April. Court 3 had some weed and moss treatment
Some temporary portable rechargeable lighting has been acquired to facilitate late afternoon / evening coaching and play in the darker months of the year.
Court 3 is resprayed colourfully.
